Job summary

Applicants should have nursing licensure in good standing, at least one year of PACU or preoperative experience, and ACLS/BLS certifications within the required timeframe.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• Successful completion of BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is involved) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status at intervals according to policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage recovery from anesthesia across various modalities.
• Provide safe medication administration and educate patients and families.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety throughout perioperative care.
