Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Massachusetts nursing license in good standing.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS within one year of hire preferred.
• Ambulatory/OR nursing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and lead as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate peri-operative care using the nursing process and physician plan of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers throughout the surgical experience.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Cross-train/float as needed to meet department staffing needs.
• Prepare and break down OR areas; ensure supplies and equipment are ready.
