Job summary

Qualifications

• Evidence of continuing education; at least 20 CEU’s per year.
• 3-5 years of OR experience with circulating and scrubbing skills.
• CNOR certification within 2 years of appointment and maintained.
• Massachusetts RN license current and active.
• BLS certification current; ACLS encouraged; PALS encouraged for pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, mental, and psychological status of surgical patients.
• Plan, supervise and evaluate perioperative patient care across specialties.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, OR staff, and vendors to ensure safe intervention.
• Mentor and educate staff; manage materials, instruments and preference cards.
• Maintain on-call coverage within 30 minutes travel time.
