Shields Health in Massachusetts seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive perioperative care in our ambulatory surgery setting. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary caregivers to promote patient health and a positive perioperative experience.

The ideal candidate holds MA RN licensure, 2+ years of nursing education, and is BLS certified; ACLS within 1 year and PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have RN licensure in Massachusetts.
• Two years nursing education minimum.
• Ambulatory Surgery/Outpatient OR nursing experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• PALS certification preferred or obtained within 6 months of request.

Responsabilités

• Promote a positive organizational culture and collaborate with staff to provide safe, high-quality perioperative care.
• Attend and contribute to staff, department, and in-service meetings to support continuous learning.
• Provide direct and indirect nursing care using the nursing process within the surgical/ambulatory framework.
• Conduct peri-operative patient assessments and communicate plan of care to the team.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality of care through evidence-based protocols.
• Maintain infection control, medication safety, and proper documentations of care.
• Delegate tasks to team members according to their skills and scope; cross-train as needed.
• Assist with OR setup, turnover, and equipment readiness to support efficient operations.
• Support staffing needs and ensure supplies and housekeeping support patient care.
• Document patient progress and communicate any delays or changes to the care team.
