SCA Health in the United States (New York area) seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Endoscopy team. The role covers preop, intraoperative, and recovery room duties, offering flexibility across the perioperative continuum.

The ideal candidate will have GI/OR nursing experience, hold active RN licensure, and demonstrate patient advocacy, safety discipline, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment.
• Specialty certification in GI Nursing is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing safety protocols.
• Administer medications safely and correctly using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Provide hand-off report to team with accurate, concise patient information.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure equipment readiness and safety.
• Protect patient rights, dignity and privacy during perioperative care.
