Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Endoscopy. You will develop individualized perioperative plans, administer medications safely, and ensure instrument readiness while maintaining aseptic technique and patient safety.

You will also educate patients, advocate for their care, and coordinate hand-offs across the care team. Minimum GI/OR nursing experience preferred; active RN license required with BLS/ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year GI/OR/medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Current state RN license in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care included.
• GI nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop perioperative plan of care for patients.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control.
• Safely administer medications using the eight rights.
• Prepare endoscopy instruments and monitor equipment.
• Provide patient education and advocate for patient safety.
• Transfer care and hand off to team with clear communication.
