SCA Health in the United States is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Endoscopy to support perioperative care across GI, OR, and medical/surgical settings. You will develop individualized patient plans, administer medications, monitor anesthesia recovery, and ensure infection prevention and safety protocols are followed.

Ideal candidates hold active RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS where required, and GI nursing experience.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days if pediatric care is included.
• Specialty certification in GI Nursing is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing.
• Protect patient from injury from extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources.
• Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and follow procedures for reporting unsafe situations.
• Advocate for patient safety and act as the patient advocate.
• Handle specimens according to facility policy and procedures.
• Adhere to standard precautions including PPE.
• Comply with Universal Protocol and site time-out policy.
• Communicate patient status to relevant care team members.
• Administer medications using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia (moderate sedation and MAC).
• Assess patient status per policy and provide appropriate care.
