Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Perinatal Surgical Technologist to support labor and delivery teams. Under RN direction, you will perform basic OR skills, maintain aseptic practices, assist with delivery tables, and ensure instrument availability across rooms.

The role emphasizes patient safety, timely communication, and adherence to policy in a high-pace obstetric environment. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, CST and NBSTSA certification,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Previous surgery experience preferred.
• CNA preferred or equivalent experience including multi-skilled CNA Training, EKG, Phlebotomy, Simple Respiratory & Rehabilitative functions.

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, performs basic operating room skills.
• Maintains AORN standards of aseptic practices.
• Performs scrub technician duties efficiently and professionally.
• Disassembles delivery table and case cart; ensures proper waste disposal and stocking.
• Prepares delivery and operating rooms in a timely manner.
• Maintains linen and supply levels; updates Kardexes for availability of supplies.
