Job summary

SCA Health in Meridian, ID is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp/PACU to support perioperative care. You will assess patients preoperatively, monitor vital signs, and prepare them for anesthesia and recovery, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active state RN license, BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 90 days may be required depending on case mix.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience preferred.
• Current state RN licensure in good standing.
• BLS or BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of common diseases.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it.
• Provide safe perioperative care and hand-off reports to teammates.
