Job summary

Hawthorne Health is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work per diem on a decentralized clinical study. You will travel regionally to patient homes to perform in-home echocardiograms and vascular imaging, with imaging lab procedures and documentation completed per protocol.

This independent contractor role reimburses travel costs and pays per visit; candidates must hold RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS certifications, BLS, and have reliable transportation for regional travel.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac imaging (RDCS/RCS) and vascular imaging (RVT/RVS) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; self-sufficient with digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits; volume varies by region.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
