Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers for in-home visits on a per-visit basis. Trainees will travel regionally, set up portable ultrasound gear, explain procedures, and perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.

Assets include BLS, independent work capability, and strong bedside manner. Travel expenses such as mileage and airfare are reimbursed per visit, with safety and quality standards aligned to ASE

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Excellent patient communication and ability to work independently in field settings.

Responsibilities

• Travel regionally to patient homes to conduct imaging visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE requirements.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
