Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team.

The role supports the operating room staff by preparing patients and rooms, maintaining sterile conditions, and handing instruments during procedures. Qualified candidates have experience as a Surgical Technician with demonstrated competency across inpatient specialties and hold a Surgical Technologist certification.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Surgical Technician in multiple inpatient surgical specialties.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or hospital on-the-job training with proof of content.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cleaning and preparing the operating room suite.
• Provide instrumentation appropriate for the surgeon and assist in sterile field.
• Care for the operative patient before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and rooms for procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe operating room suite during cases.
• Assist the circulating nurse with instrument counts and supply management.
