Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a PRN Surgical Technologist to support invasive and minimally invasive procedures in an operating room setting. You will prepare rooms, maintain sterile technique, and assist the surgical team under RN supervision. The role requires flexibility for on-call coverage and variable shifts.

Qualified candidates have graduation from a surgical tech program and CST certification, with at least one year of OR or procedural experience preferred.

• Graduation from a surgical tech program is required.
• CST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for procedures and set up instrumentation.
• Maintain sterile field and pass instruments during surgeries.
• Anticipate surgeon needs to support efficient procedure flow.
• Participate in surgical counts to ensure accuracy of instruments and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning and safety.
