St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist to support newborn care and obstetric procedures. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist with patient positioning, and hand instruments to the team, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Surgical Technician work experience in acute care.
• Labor and Delivery Surg Technician experience preferred.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or equivalent military training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Provide instruments and hands-on support to the team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts, and ensure equipment functions properly.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless experience.
