Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• CST certification verified via NBSTSA.
• BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy).
• One year of current Surgical Tech experience in an OR setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplies, equipment, and instruments are ready for use.
• Scrub, assist the RN circulator, set up and break down procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and environmental cleanliness throughout cases.
• Prepare cases for the next day and assist in gowning or draping as needed.
• Verify name, strength, and dosage of medications with circulator.
• Disinfect all tables, counter surfaces, stands, and floors.
