Job summary

• Completion of a surgical technologist training program.
• Certification offered by NBSTSA or NCCT within 12 months of hire date; certification maintained during employment.
• CPR certification at time of employment and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assist Circulator with OR preparation and review of the preference card for supplies.
• Gather equipment and instrumentation; set up sterile instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field of instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with hand scrubs, gowning and gloving; anticipate and communicate surgeon's needs.
