Job summary

Vanguard Surgical Center in New Jersey is seeking a per diem Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). The CST scrubs for procedures, maintains sterile fields, and supports the surgical team in an ambulatory setting.

The role requires a high school diploma/GED, surgical technician program completion, and state/cen­ter certification as needed, with 1+ year of CST experience preferred. Starting pay is $45.00/hr, with benefits if employed full-time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and completion of a Surgical Technician Program.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• 1+ years of Surgical Tech experience; ambulatory center preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Teamwork and strong communication with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures and maintain a sterile field.
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Demonstrate competence as a member of the surgical team.
• Support quality improvement activities.
