Job summary

Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a per diem Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the surgical team as the scrub. The CST assists the Circulator with room setup, prepares sterile instruments, and ensures a sterile field throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of a surgical technologist training program.
• Certification (NBSTSA or NCCT) within 12 months of hire and maintained during employment.
• Current CPR certification with recertification every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist scrub with preparation of OR, review preference cards, gather equipment and instrumentation.
• Prepare drugs under RN Circulator supervision and maintain sterile field.
• Anticipate surgeon's needs and ensure instruments and supplies are available.
