Job summary

Regent Surgical Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for a per diem position to support the operating room team. The CST will scrub, assist the RN circulator and surgeon, prepare cases, and maintain sterile technique.

Responsibilities include preparing instruments, restocking ORs, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures. Requirements include a high school diploma, graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, CST certification via NBSTSA, and BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• CST certification verified via NBSTSA.
• BLS certification as required by ASC policy.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, assist RN circulator and anesthesiologist in the operating room.
• Prepare cases for next day; arrange instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile technique and freedom from contamination.
• Count sponges, instruments and sharps; ensure proper labeling and handling.
• Assist in gowning of personnel and draping of patient.
• Prepare and preserve specimens; transport patients as needed.
• Perform hand scrubs and disinfect surfaces; clean and restock OR between cases.
