IVIRMA Global is seeking a Surgical Center Technician in Waltham, MA to support the operating room on a per diem basis. The role requires scrub skills, sterile technique, and responsiveness to surgeon needs during procedures.

Per diem availability is required monthly, with shifts planned in advance. The position emphasizes aseptic practices, instrument preparation, patient transport, and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; accredited surgical technologist program and certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; knowledge of gyn and urology instrumentation helpful.
• Experience as a surgical instrument technician and in sterile technique preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Prepare sterile instrument table and maintain aseptic technique.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges and sutures.
• Transport patients to and from the surgical suite and mentor new staff.
