Job summary

IVIRMA is seeking a Per Diem Surgical Center Technician in Bedford, NH. You will handle instruments and supplies, anticipate surgeon needs, and support the operating room during designated batch weeks.

The role requires high school completion, surgical technologist credentials, and BLS certification, plus prior instrument technician experience and aseptic discipline. Per diem schedule offers flexibility and career exposure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of surgical scrub processes and instrumentation for gyn and urology procedures.
• Follows sterile technique and safety precautions in all duties.
• Assembles supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors breaches in asepsis.
• Two years’ experience as a surgical instrument technician; prior to 2015 documentation may be needed.
• Current BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the surgical suite.
• Assists the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
• Gathers equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follow Standard Precautions with PPE.
