Job summary

IVIRMA Global is seeking a Per Diem Surgical Center Technician for a Bedford, NH location to support the Operating Room during designated batch weeks. Requires a high school diploma or GED and a certified surgical technologist credential, with 2+ years of surgical instrument experience and current BLS.

The role involves preparing sterile instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, transporting patients, and mentoring new staff. Per diem schedule with advance planning provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist program and certified.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a surgical instrument technician (prior to 2015) and documented employment.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Studies level: Certification; Studies area: BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
• Assembles supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Prepares sterile instrument table and maintains aseptic technique.
• Transports patients to and from the surgical suite.
• Gathers equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follows Standard Precautions and PPE requirements.
