Job summary

IVIRMA is seeking a Surgical Center Technician in Bedford, NH to support the operating room with instruments, supplies and equipment, and to anticipate the surgeon's needs during procedures. This per diem role requires a solid grasp of scrub processes and aseptic technique, with experience in gynecologic and urology cases.

The position supports the OR during designated batch weeks, with one week of availability required each month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited surgical technology program with certified technologist credential.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a surgical instrument technician.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in sterile technique and aseptic practices.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of scrub processes and instrumentation for gyn and urology procedures.
• Follows sterility, infection control, and safety precautions.
• Assembles supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Prepares sterile instrument table and maintains aseptic technique.
• Transports patients to and from the surgical suite.
• Assists the team by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
