Job summary

IVIRMA is seeking a Per Diem Surgical Center Technician to support the operating room in Bedford, NH. The role requires knowledge of scrub processes, sterile technique, and instrument handling for gyn and urology procedures, with 1 week per month of availability.

The candidate will assist the surgical team, orient new staff, and ensure aseptic practices while transporting patients and preparing instruments for procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program with CST credential.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Prior experience as a surgical instrument technician preferred.
• Knowledge of sterility, infection control and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assembles supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Prepares sterile instrument table and maintains asepsis.
• Passes instruments, sponges and sutures to surgical team.
• Transports patients to and from the surgical suite.
• Mentors new staff and follows standard precautions.
