Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Wayne, New Jersey team on a casual/per diem basis. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, prepare specimens, enter data, handle billing, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Excellent customer service and reliable transportation are required.

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
