Job summary

Labcorp in Philipsburg, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, enter patient data, and assist with specimen handling and billing processes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and either phlebotomy certification or training; 6+ months experience is preferred. This is a patient-facing, on-site position with potential travel to additional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist is required.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis and maintain logs.
