Job summary

Atrius Health is seeking a Lab Associate at our Boston area location to collect blood and non-blood specimens, prepare samples, and assist with routine laboratory operations. You will verify patient identity, label specimens, and ensure accurate documentation in the LIS/EMR systems.

The role emphasizes safety, PPE compliance, and teamwork within a per diem schedule. Prior phlebotomy training and strong patient communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy training and/or certifications preferred.
• Familiarity with LIS and EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens by venipuncture and skin puncture as per site requirements.
• Collect non-blood specimens such as urine and throat swabs; ensure correct labeling.
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Prepare and organize equipment and supplies for tests.
• Maintain clean work area and restock supplies as needed.
