Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Phlebotomist to collect and process blood specimens for laboratory testing at a Mass General Brigham site in Massachusetts. The role supports patient care and requires attention to accuracy, privacy, and safety while interacting with patients and care teams.

Responsibilities include obtaining quality samples, proper labeling and transport, and compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred.
• No experience required.

Responsabilités

• Obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
• Ensures accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of specimens.
• May assist in the recovery of patients experiencing adverse reactions and provide a rapid response to medical emergencies in the inpatient setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Handles sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Works fluently with computer programs and systems, and complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Performs other test administration and specimen collection as assigned.
