Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Representative to ensure efficient daily operations and strong customer service on the phone. You will handle outpatient registrations, pre-registration, collect payments, verify insurance, and file paperwork.

Responsibilities include data entry into the EHR, securing authorizations, collecting co-pays, and explaining hospital forms such as Advance Directives. A HS diploma and basic bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year Epic experience preferred.
• Bilingual and/or English Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register outpatients and collect demographic/insurance data into the system.
• Answer calls with courteous service and relay messages promptly.
• Scan and attach insurance benefits, liability estimates, and authorizations.
• Collect co-pays and coinsurance; manage payments.
• Verify eligibility and obtain pre-authorization for services.
• Explain hospital forms and protect patient information.
• Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures.
• Support DNV program education as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
