Job summary

Valley View Home Health, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home occupational therapy and help patients reach their fullest physical ability.

Primary responsibilities include following state laws and the supervising OT’s plan of care, observing and reporting patient responses, educating patients and caregivers, and working with diverse families in home settings.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and the supervising OT’s defined treatment plan.
• Follow the plan of care, instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within OT scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient response and changes to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers and health care team in OT-related therapy.
• Function effectively in any home situation regardless of patient demographics.
