Job summary

Optum, through Caretenders Home Health, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant for per diem home visits. You will provide occupational therapy to patients in their homes, following supervising OT plans and state laws to help patients regain function.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and educating patients and families while complying with NBCOT and CPR requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• NBCOT certification in good standing with the state list.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising OT guidance.
• Follow plan of care and assist with evidence-based treatment within the scope of the OTA.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and others in therapy within OTA scope.
• Adapt to home environments regardless of client demographics.
