Job summary

Valley View Home Health, part of the LHC Group family under Optum, seeks a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home occupational therapy and help restore patients’ function. The role spans diverse home environments and requires adherence to state laws and the supervising OT’s plan of care.

Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, educating families, and collaborating with nurses and physicians to adjust treatment as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care OT and the supervising OT’s directions.
• Follow the plan of care and assist patients with evidence-based therapy within OTA scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers and health-team members in therapy within OTA scope.
• Adapt to any home setting and treat patients regardless of age, race, creed or disability.
