Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of the Optum family, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home OT services and restore patients to their fullest physical ability. You will work under a supervising OT and ensure care complies with state laws and the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state laws governing OT in home care and the supervising OT's treatment plan.
• Instruct and assist patients per the plan of care within OT scope and state laws.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to nurse supervisor/physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health care team in therapy areas within OTA scope.
• Function in diverse home situations regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
