Job summary

St. Mary's Home Health Service, part of the Optum family, is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home therapy, helping patients regain function and independence.

Responsibilities include following treatment plans, observing progress, educating patients and families, and ensuring care complies with state laws. Per diem schedule and compensation reflect home health norms.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing OT home care and the supervising OT's treatment plan.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based therapy within the OTA scope.
• Observe, report, and document patient response and changes to the care plan.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members in OT activities.
• Provide care in diverse home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
