As the Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) you will provide skilled therapeutic services to patients in their homes to support functional

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Current license to practice as an OTA in the assigned state.
• Eligible to take or has completed the NBCOT certification examination.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ year OTA experience.
• If less than 1 year, regional clinical leaders must approve and mentoring/residency program established.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Documents each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observes and reports patient response and changes to supervising OT and other clinical staff.
• Provides patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and prevention through occupational engagement.
• Demonstrates knowledge of community resources/services.
• Makes recommendations for follow-up care with the admitting center.
• Keeps up with OT practices and care coordination.
