UnitedHealth Group's Amedisys home health team is hiring a Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled in-home therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, aiming to improve functional independence and daily living skills.

This role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate documentation per AOTA guidelines, and coordination with care teams; requires ACOTE-accredited OTA education, current state license, CPR, and NBCOT eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OTA program accredited by ACOTE or successor organizations of ACOTE.
• Current license to practice as an OTA in the assigned state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Eligible to take or have completed the NBCOT exam.
• 1+ year OTA experience or regional approval if less than a year.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Document each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observe and report patient responses and changes to the supervising OT and care team.
• Offer patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promote wellness through engagement in daily activities and community resources.
