Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Unit at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. The RN will provide advanced nursing care for psychiatric patients in a state-of-the-art campus.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (compact or state) with BLS and at least 1 year in psychiatric settings; ASN or Diploma required, BSN preferred. Per diem nights, weekend and limited weekday shifts offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required or approved compact license.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• Minimum of one year psychiatric experience.
• BSN preferred; ASN or Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice and ANA ethics.
• Ensure safety and apply evidence-based practice.
• Report safety issues and medical errors promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of the psychiatric patient population.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to team members.
• Use nursing process to tailor care to patient needs.
