Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Psychiatric IP-Adult DDMI unit at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. Night shift, 7p-7:30a, full-time, 7 days on; schedule includes weekends and holidays as needed.

The role requires NJ RN license, BSN/ASN, BLS and ACLS; one year in Behavioral Health Nursing preferred. Unit cross-training and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN License required.
• ASN or BSN required.
• AHA BLS prior to start date required.
• AHA ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in Behavioral Health Nursing required.
• Previous experience in Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or ER Nursing a plus.
• Psychiatric-Mental Health certifications and/or national nursing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of the center and Nursing Department.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
