RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Per Diem in the Behavioral Health Emergency Screening department at RWJ New Brunswick. The role supports rapid assessments, safe patient care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Day shift with weekend/holiday rotation and two shifts per month offers flexible scheduling. Requirements include an active New Jersey RN license and BLS; Bachelor's degree preferred, ACLS encouraged within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or to be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care grounded in clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families for next steps in care and discharge planning.
• Document care accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
