Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. The RN will provide night-shift care in a fast-paced ED, partnering with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality, compassionate treatment.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, BLS, and ER experience; a BSN and CEN are preferred. Expect 7p-7:30a, with 3 shifts per month and weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Two years ER nursing experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• CEN certification is a plus
• Comfort with EPIC EMR and documentation processes

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely with sound clinical judgment
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families for informed decision-making
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Participate in rounds and inter-disciplinary communication
