Job summary

Elk Valley, part of the LHC Group and within the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Aide to provide essential personal care and assist with daily living activities in clients' homes. You will help with hygiene, mobility, meal support, and accompany clients to appointments as needed.

Valid driver's license with insurance and reliable transportation are required; TN-specific training and CPR (preferred or doable within 90 days) are noted.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months.
• CPR certification preferred or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
