Job summary

Elk Valley, part of the LHC Group within Optum, is hiring a Per Diem Aide to provide personal care and help with daily living activities so clients can stay in their homes.

Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, meal preparation, transportation to appointments, and monitoring client condition. TN requires 75 hours of training with 16 clinical hours in 3 months; CPR is preferred and 6+ months home care experience is desirable. Pay range is $13–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
