Job summary

Elk Valley, a part of LHC Group within the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem Aide to provide in-home care and support for a client, enabling them to remain at home. You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, and accompany to appointments while maintaining safety and privacy.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and TN training hours. CPR is preferred and compensation ranges from $13.00 to $20.00 per hour, with benefits eligibility as described.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months; qualified for basic services.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
