Job summary

Elk Valley, part of LHC Group and within the Optum family, is hiring a Per Diem Aide through UnitedHealth Group. You will provide in-home personal care, assist with daily living activities, and help with household tasks while ensuring client safety and confidentiality.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; TN training hours; CPR and 6+ months of home care preferred, with flexible hours and independent work possible.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months; qualified for basic services.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
• Function in diverse home situations regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
