Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Albuquerque. You will work on the front lines of emergencies, handling triage, nursing care, anesthesia, and diagnostics while providing emotional support to pet parents during stressful moments.

You will collaborate with doctors and the team to deliver gold-standard care, grow your skills, and remain an empathetic, calm presence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVMT) in the state where VEG practice is located.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during emergencies.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Communicate effectively with team and pet parents; support care plans and discharge instructions.
