Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will handle cases from minor to complex emergencies, delivering gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care alongside doctors and staff.

You will participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while staying compassionate for pets and their parents.

Qualifications

• Must have CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential in the state.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; ER experience preferred.
• Excellent communicator and able to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in emergencies.
• Assist doctors with triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, and care.
• Handle patient monitoring, IVs, CRIs, and blood products as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to plan and maintain care flow.
• Perform CPR as trained and use advanced techniques when required.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, sampling, and tube placement.
• Support anesthesia for fragile patients and maintain safety.
