Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced team on the front lines of veterinary emergencies. You will triage, treat, monitor, and assist with anesthesia and critical care, working closely with doctors and staff to deliver compassionate care.

You will bring a calm, patient-centered approach, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA-accredited veterinary tech degree preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) in the practice state is required.
• 1+ year emergency or specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line emergency nursing care and patient monitoring.
• Assist doctors with triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia and critical care.
• Perform procedures and maintain clear communication with the team and pet parents.
