Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Relief) in Albuquerque, NM. As part of a fast-paced ER team, you will provide triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing to a wide range of emergencies, collaborating closely with doctors and staff to ensure gold-standard care for pets and support for their guardians.

Ideal candidates hold AVMA-accredited veterinary technology credentials, have 1+ year of emergency

Qualifications

• CVT, RVT, LVT credential in the state of practice
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Associate degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program preferred

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver gold standard, compassionate care.
• Provide emotional support to pet parents throughout emergency visits.
• Assist with diagnostics and imaging and anesthetic procedures.
• Utilize central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds, and other advanced techniques as needed.
