Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Las Vegas seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join the front lines of emergency care. You will handle a wide range of cases, from triage to critical care, assisting doctors and providing compassionate, gold-standard support to anxious pet parents.

You will be involved in anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and advanced procedures, while growing your skills and contributing to a high-energy team that values mentorship and patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher in veterinary technology from AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as CVT/RVT/LVT in the state of VEG location is required; VTS in ECC/IM/anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Proficiency with practice management software and EMR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care.
• Perform CPR and advanced procedures as trained, supporting pet parents through stress.
• Utilize diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Maintain high standards of safety and patient handling in a fast-paced ER.
• Communicate effectively with team and contribute to care plans.
• Keep meticulous records and assist in discharge planning.
• Be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating basis.
