Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic: Baytown is seeking a Per Diem Ambulatory Service Representative to support patient check-in/out, payments, and registration. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, accurate cash handling, and timely communication with patients and staff in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include updating Epic records, verifying insurance, and guiding patients through procedures while maintaining a friendly, efficient environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years direct face-to-face customer service experience.
• 1+ years cash handling or collections experience.
• Experience in medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• CBO, managed care or contact center experience advantageous.
• Proficient with computers and Windows-based software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must speak, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with check-in/check-out using POS system and handle fees.
• Explain accounts and insurance information; discuss payment plans with Central Business Office.
• Register new patients, verify insurance coverage, and update demographics in Epic.
• Handle cash control procedures and daily accounting tasks.
• Answer questions and direct patients to appropriate departments; maintain a caring environment.
